I think it completely depends on the environment in which the child is brought up in, especially the parents. If a child hears a parent cursing, it's likely that the child is going to around cursing. If a child see's their father kicking the cat out the back door, it's likely that the child will think it acceptable to kick the cat out the back door! A child is born innocent, as it grows older it can get a few bad habits but that's not their fault, it's from looking at their peers around them and their environment. Also children have the tendency when they get older to be rebellious. I know from experience. For example, if I told my younger brother 'Listen, don't go near that dog, it'll tear the hand off you', he would blatantly go over to the dog and stick out his hand to it because he's 'tough'. As my father says 'let them learn the hard way'.
