I play with Piltown Camogie Club. We are a fairly small club but even so we're after having great success. Last year we won four county titles. Every year we seem to be improving and bringing home more cups. I think that's because everyone enjoys being part of the club and tries to do their best.
Over the last few years we've been lucky in that we got to play in a few tournaments where we got to go away for weekends. Whenever our team goes away together, even though we take the camogie seriously, we have unbelievable craic... if it's playing knock a dolly or nearly the whole team getting locked out of their rooms OR even crashing a wedding (that's a story for another day), we're always sure to have a good time whenever P.C.C goes on tour !
For anyone who thinks camogie or hurling is pointless because they think all you do is run around a field after a ball... they couldn't be more wrong and should go watch a good game of hurling for themselves ! I have brilliant memories with hopefully many more to come and have made some great friends not only from my own club but from other clubs and counties as well and I have camogie to thank for that.
