Have you ever laughed when you shouldn't? I think everyone has done this. The worst case we find ourselves in is laughing in the most awkward situations. When someone tells you a tragic story and the only way you feel capable of reacting to this information is by laughing. So what is laughter? Why and when do we laugh?
There is no better cure for a bad mood than laughter. Not just a little giggle, but side-spitting, milk-coming-out-of-your nose, hard to breath laughter. It's like having an emotional colonic. Cleans out all the stuff and purifies the soul. It's hard not to feel better after a convulsion of hysterical laughter.
The laughter you see in films and on television is not real laughter, when the actress smiles and "laughs" and her sparkling white teeth show, her head slightly tilts back and still looks as beautiful as ever!
However, for me that is not the case. I cry when i laugh. When I laugh it's embarrassing, I have the ugliest looking laugh-face in the world. So much so, that I try to avoid laughing around strangers, as they could be absolutely horrified by the sight.
Laughter, and the cleansing joy that it provides, should be a daily ritual that contributes to sustained happiness. Like a spoon full of sugar, it helps the medicine go down.
In life, everyone needs laughter to make everything easier and smoother. I can laugh at myself, i can laugh with others, i can laugh at virtually anything. Laughter is what makes the world go round. Laughter is a cheap medicine for everyone and the closest distance between two people. So laugh to your best. And from this, you will receive love, health and get the best from the world.
