Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter. They have taken over my life and have ruined me.It's an addiction that I know every single girl in this school suffers from
They're so handy for those times when you see someone in the street you want to avoid so you put your head down, whip out your phone and pretend you're texting your friend when actually you're just tapping randomly on the screen.
As well as those times when you're scrolling through Facebook endlessly but then see a hilarious meme that's just so relatable so you send it into the group chat and have a full on conversation about how accurate the meme is.
And for the most obvious reason: for the times after a sleepless sleepover when need to get home so you take out your phone and text your most used contact- "Mam"
Asides all of that, I can have a serious hatred for those little blocks of metal we hold in our hands 24/7.
My main study distraction is my phone.I can never get any study done on weekends without getting withdrawal symptoms within 15 minutes. But, the urge is too much so I just end up leaving it until Sunday night at 10 o clock.
Also a massive sleep deprivation is of course, what??? Yes. My phone. I'm not too bad for going to sleep early, especially on a school night. But every now and then I start a new series on Netflix when I realise 3 seasons in that it's half 2 in the morning. Woops, looks like it's too late now, may as well keep going.
Pfft, who needs sleep anyway?
Okay so I after the point I just made, I sat for 20 minutes trying to think of another reason I hated my phone, but I failed. This is really not what I wanted to happen because I truly thought I hated my phone more than I loved it. But, I suppose we all have to face it:
we don't own our phones, our phones own us.
