I thought long and hard about what to write for this blog post, I couldn’t think of anything until I stepped outside my bedroom door and looked down into the hall. Low and behold, a Christmas tree! It’s that time of year again. My mother has this abnormal obsession with Christmas especially Christmas decorations. You know it’s Christmas when you can see my house glistening from town and there’s so much lights, trees, tinsels, baubles, ornaments etc etc etc etc…that you can barely dodge each object when attempting to enter my home. Yes I used to think it was cool but now not so much. Luckily my father is an electrician or else god only knows what kind of state our house would be in, doubt it would be still standing. Unfortunately, Christmas isn’t so much of a comical time for some. They might not have the extra money to buy presents for their children, family, and friends. Many are saddened at Christmastime when they think of their loved ones who will not be able to make it home for various reasons. Those good turkey dinners may be only a wish and not a reality for some. Christmastime is that one time of year when everyone comes together to celebrate this special occasion but sadly for some this may not be the case. A few days ago, I was flicking through my Facebook home page when I came across a remarkable video that was based in Germany. It shows us that no matter what, everyone should make time to spend with their loved ones over the Christmas period.
