I believe whether we are good or bad in life depends wholly on our surroundings, especially those in our surroundings who raise us. If we are raised and surrounded by people who do wrong, then these characteristics will become almost natural to us and we will build up an immunity to them, and as a result we would not be aware of the bad things we do, as we would believe that if those close to us are doing these things, then these things are also acceptable for us to do.
Yet, as for the opposite, when we are surrounded and raised by those who are good, we also develop these qualities, as again we are unaware and oblivious to the bad characteristics a person attains if we are not exposed to them at a young age. However whether or not we are born or raised good or bad, the capacity for both is still contained within us, and this is dependent also on our freewill, the freewill we attain to choose to do good or bad. Over all, I think on being born, babies and children are oblivious to any wrong or right doing, they are like blank canvases. However it is throughout their lives and through observation and experiences that they are changed into either good or bad people.
