The movie follows the lives of two sisters, Elsa and Anna, who are the two daughters of the King and Queen of Arendelle. Elsa has a power to freeze things but as her powers get stronger, they get more uncontrollable. One night whilst playing with her sister, she accidentally injures Anna with her powers. They cure her by visiting the trolls but they erase all memory of magic from Anna's life. To keep Elsa's power a secret from her sister and the town they lock themselves up in their castle, and Elsa in her room. The sisters over several years become more separated and Anna doesn't understand why this is.
After about 10 years it is Elsa's coronation ceremony but she is so nervous that people will be there and may find her secret. People find out and Elsa escapes up the mountain to solitude only to find Anna trying to find her and bring her home. Anna meets some interesting characters along the way such as trolls, the duo of a man and a pet reindeer and even a snowman with intentions of experiencing summer. With various plot twists and key moments, I found myself laughing, crying and even at the edge of my seat at some points. What makes a movie perfect other than a flawless story and loveable characters (and somehow attractive may I add)? An outstanding soundtrack. Kristin Bell (yes, the woman that loved sloths on The Ellen Show) and Wicked star Idina Menzel and their amazing performances really just make the movie perfect. I would rate this movie 5/5 for it's cleverness, creativity, and more importantly the catchy tunes that I can't get out of my head all week.
